Hi super awesome mom. I want to tell you about three really great ways mobile devices can help working moms like you , and they all come down to management. Mobile devices can help moms manage their lifestyles, families and careers. Mobile devices are easy to use and readily programmed to host apps that can support personal and professional life management. They also come equipped with multi-media communication features that not only allow working moms to capture what they want but to communicate it in deeply enriching ways. When working moms put mobile technology to work, they are able to save themselves a little me-time while being right-on-time for everything else.
Lifestyle Management Using mobile devices to manage your lifestyle, family and career, includes knowing your device and curating just the right apps to support your management plan. Like anything, you want to look at apps from an outcomes point-of-view first. In essence, what do you want to happen in the end? If you are focusing on lifestyle, perhaps you are considering a health and wellness program to lose a few pounds and gain more energy. Well as they say, there is an app for that, however, not all apps are for you. Some might focus on losing weight by any means necessary, and not on the healthy manner that you are going for. You have to read the apps and make sure the one you choose is a match made in heaven before you start a program that sucks.
Family/Home Management Family management also requires knowing what you want before you start using apps. For family management you might be focusing on your budget, and there are really great apps for budgeting out there but you have to determine how much energy you are willing to put into your budgeting. The thing about apps is they only work if you do your part. However, creating a budget and savings goals in the right app can definitely help a working mom manage her finances. You might also look at apps that can help you with managing your time. Time management is always a pain-point for working moms. There never seems to be enough time in the day or enough energy in our bodies to get it all done. But, if you find a good app match for time management, you will be on your way to less stress and more energy.
Career Management Finally for career management we are talking about two things, skills development and professional branding. You can take classes online, with your mobile device. You can get professional certificates from the best colleges in the world in MOOCs, using your mobile device, and you can even go to college and get a higher-education degree, using you mobile device. Do I have your attention yet? Next, as I said you can use your mobile device to build your professional brand. Your brand is what employers think and say about you when you are not around. This means your words, works and personal publicity need to be aligned with the outcome you want. Did you know you everything you post online is creating a digital footprint that either leads people back to you or away from you? If your social media is not painting the picture you want employers to see, you best to clean it up and repaint as quickly as possible before it becomes a digital tattoo. Meaning, somebody might print or share something you may not stand for anymore and that is not in the best interest of your career goals. To find out what your brand is right now, google your name to see what comes up. Then do like contractors do, clean it out, then build it up.
